Department of Management

The Department of Management was ranked joint 5th of all UK management departments in the 2008 RAE with one-third of our research activity assessed as ‘world leading’. We are a research-led department with a strong reputation for our contribution to scholarship, teaching and practice. Our world class scholars provide advice and research leadership to prestigious institutions including the Department of Trade and Industry and the National Institute of Health Research (UK) and the Research Institute of Economy and Trade and Industry (Japan).
 
All degree programmes are informed by our staff’s expertise. We scored highly in the 2010 Times Good University Guide,  particularly in the field of offering excellent career prospects for our students. We run a BSc in Business Management and a variety of graduate programmes including, MSc International Management, MSc International Marketing and MSc Human Resource Management & Organisational Analysis (accredited by the CIPD). The department is also home to an expanding MRes and MPhil/PhD programme (accredited by the ESRC).

Michael Tyrimos, Business Management student and President of the King's College London Business Club (KCLBC),has been awarded the NACUE President of the Year Award by the National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs.

King’s BSc (Hons) Business Management graduate Zain Jaffer has been selected as one of the world’s top 80 future leaders by Google and NASA and invited to attend an elite course at their headquarters in Silicon Valley.

Gatsby Foundation Research Grant
Paul Lewis has been awarded a grant from the Gatsby Foundation to study the skills and training of laboratory technicians in university science and engineering departments.
